Manager, Events (MHCCA)

Responsibilities: Coordinate the 2nd Annual Summit on Mental Health and Climate Change

  • Create a database of Canadian experts and stakeholders working at the intersection of mental health and climate change

  • Invite professional and lay community members to submit conference abstracts to present at our events

  • Invite people to attend the conferences

  • Help curate compelling presentations and plan the conference schedule

  • Liaise with technology staff to arrange events

  • Develop a conference report summarizing findings from the conference

Research Manager (HEAL)

Responsibilities: Provide management and administrative support to Dr. Card and the Healthy Ecologies and Lifestyles Laboratory.

  • Facilitate partner engagement with government offices, health organizations, community organizations, and within academia.

  • Identify funding opportunnities and maintain a calendar for applying to grants.

  • Supervise and support volunteers and research staff.

  • Manage human resources, budgets, and finances of the HEAL lab.

  • Schedule and faciliate lab meetings.

  • Prepare grant documents for submission.

Evidence Synthesis Lead (PIPPS)

Responsibilities: Facilitate evidence synthesis activites for the Rapid Response Hub of the Pacific Institute on Pathogens, Pandemics and Society.

  • Facilitative partner and community engagement activities.

  • Undertake evidence synthesis activities in line with PIPPS-RRH standard protocols;

    • Liaise with stakeholders to identify evidence synthesis needs;

    • Develop project management plans for assigned evidence synthesis activities;

    • Conduct literature searches to identify relevant evidence for assigned evidence synthesis activities;

    • Review and critically evaluate evidence identified from literature search processes;

    • Contribute to the interpretation of relevant evidence identified from literature search processes;

    • Draft outputs and deliverables reporting on findings from evidence synthesis activities;

    • Respond to and incorporate feedback from relevant stakeholders;

  • Provide relevant advice and expertise on methodology and protocol for evidence synthesis;

  • Keep accurate records relating to assigned evidence synthesis activities;

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at the PIPPS and partner organizations; and

  • Undertake any other duties related to the successful operation of the PIPPS-RRH.

Coordinator, Community of Practice on Social Prescribing in The Island Health Region.

Responsibilities: To facilitate a community of practice on social prescribing.

  • Identify partners and practitioners working in primary care and community services who are interested in social prescribing.

  • Facilitate monthly meetings and communications with a community of practice members.

  • Plan presentations and discussions for the community of practice.

  • Develop materials summarizing findings from the community of practice.
