Julia Lukacs
Julia Lukacs is a graduate student in clinical psychology at Simon Fraser University. She holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina in Psychology and an M.Sc. from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in Clinical and Developmental Psychopathology. Julia's interest in diverse mental health research methodology has led her to work in a range of psychology laboratories applying divergent methods. She has worked on projects on sleep, mood, mindfulness, risk-taking and decision-making, minority well-being and mental health issues, and perception. Before making the move to the Vancouver area, Julia was most recently employed as coordinator of a longitudinal ERC funded study at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research. Her long-standing personal interest in climate change research and a desire to contribute her skills to research serving public needs motivated her to begin working with the MHCCA.
Julia's studies and work are currently supported by SFU's (4-year) Graduate Dean's Entrance Scholarship. She has co-authored publications in the Journal of Affective Disorders and the British Journal of Public Health, as well as presented at a number of conferences, including American Psychological Association's 2021 Convention, and the European Congress of Psychology.
